we are looking for a software that is possibly free (but not necessarily) to install to suppliers, to open file step and can easily measure directly on model 3d. it would be useful to be able to pull axes and plans and be able to make sections as normally you do in creo with the analysis-measure tab. we are talking about suppliers who do not have cad-cam systems, but it would be useful for them to see in 3d the model and to be able to take some share to them useful that they may not find in the table.
in house ptc there are 3 versions of viewer: express free, lite, mcad
express does not allow to pull axes and plans, I wondered if the version lite did. mcad view costs around 500€ and I think it's a really "heavy" software that can give a supplier to make only 2 odds... .
