initialization file gbg 8

Hello everyone,
in the office we have recently installed gbg 8, remained in the drawer for years since we have always used gbg 7. According to the documentation of the new version (as compared to the previous one) the initialization file dm.ini should still accept the und key we used with version 7 to increase the number of cancellations/returns, and the memory destined to them, in this way: und 32 1 4000000. the problem is that version 8 no longer seems to recognize this key. as well as no longer seems to accept the -f key in the launch string of the program to load a design at startup. I hope someone can give me some tips (although I know very well that the users of gbg are now very few). Thank you in advance.. .

Yes, in the launch string I wrote:

c:\think3\dm80\bin\dm.exe -lang i -ini c:\think3\dm80\dm.ini

and the dm.ini file contains:

gbg v8.0
*
und 32 1 4000000

right to try, I also entered 2 more keys by editing the file in this way:

gbg v8.0
*
und 32 1 4000000
gra beep on
0 0 0 0 0

what is strange is that the last 2 keys are recognized but und no! If you have gbg 8, are you sure the key works correctly?

I have tried to comment on the line related to theund, and indeed the number of available undoes is reduced.

I tried on dm81.

lcm are the mechanical libraries (vita, seeger, bearings, etc.).

we use gbg from version 1.3 and we have always arranged to create our libraries, first with the symbols and then with the parametric groups. . .

maybe I was wrong, try putting your dm.ini file modified in this folder:

c:\cadlab\dm81\files\dm.ini

and call it back in the launch string.

c:\think3\dm80

the modified dm.ini file I put it in:

c:\think3\dm80\files

and contains:

gbg v8.0
*
und 32 1 4000000
gra beep on

and this is the launch string:

c:\think3\dm80\bin\dm.exe -lang i -ini c:\think3\dm80\files\dm.ini

I don't think it's a path problem. the dm.ini file is found, since the other keys are recognized, while the und no!

known that your gbg is installed in the c:\cadlab\ folder. Does that mean you got the program before the cadlab was acquired by think3? I don't want think3 to get our hands screwed up. .

No, I modified the installation path, but think3 is just the renamed cadlab.
