Hello, everyone!
I've been freaking out for days to figure out how to "fill" an object with a photo background... I'll explain. .
I am reproducing in autocad the design of a marble inlay; now, of course, each section must be colored with the corresponding marble;
instead of using "false" autocad colors, I would like to fill each section with the original photo of the marbles... I even tried to make patterns myself, but then I realized that the pattern only works with lines and polylines, while I have to act at the level of backgrounds/smooths, and therefore color.... At least I think... let's say I learned how to use enough autocads, but I'm not an engineer, so if anyone could explain me clearly and step by step how to do it, I'd be grateful. .

you must somehow convert them into surfaces or solids with minimum thickness and then assign the materials properly mapped with your images

try to use superhatch (keyboard digit). fill the area with a retino, which can be your marble image.

p.s. engineers know how to use autocad very badly, so I wouldn't take them as a point of reference :tongue:
