installation on virtual machine

I tried to install solidworks 2009 on a virtual machine with operating system "windows xp professional sp3" created with "vm ware workstation", but the installation almost immediately stops without any notice.
Is it my problem or is it completely impossible to do this?

I could say a cretin, but a while ago I did the same with the same result. the problem was that the virtual machine did not recognize me the network card and therefore in the absence of the card it was not possible to install the software

look from the virtual machine in the control panel if the card exists between the peripherals and if it is working. In theory, you should also be able to connect.
