Hello, everyone. .

I have a problem with installing toolbox..when I make tools-add-toolbox and toolbox browser comes out a window with writing that the folder is not valid...click ok and immediately there is another window with written error:no library directory of the existing parts. ...

I press that I am not at all expert on solidworks... what should I do to use toolbox?

Thank you.

you should check tools_options_creation wizard toolbox holes.
here the route should coincide with what you used during installation.
by default should be c:\solidworks data\
even if the program should have automatically chosen and prepared the directory at the time of installation.

newly clicked creation wizards exit: database setting error, microsoft jet database management module is unable to open file ''....'''. The file is already open with exclusive access from another user or you need permission to view data.

what it means:confused:

Are you not going to be using the program sharing with other users or have multiple open sw sessions?
It’s a new message for me I should look at it also because I use little toolbox and version in version should be updated a bit.
What version do you use?

excuse ignorance but what does it mean in sharing? the version is solidworks office premium 2007 sp0.0

However I click ok and exit a screen with folder creating holes/toolbox Wizard: makes me browse through folders and under the configure button.

if I write 'toolbox' and click configure an error message from soloworks appears: impossible to find the standard database 'toolbox'

sharing because I thought the toolbox library was on another pc. exactly when you click ok?
have you gone to tools_options_ to verify that the path of toolbox libraries was in the right place?
another explanation (it happened to me once) could be that you installed the 2007premium version over a newer version.
Can I ask you a question? as never a first-armed student has a premium2007.
sniff...sniff... I feel a smell...

you exit just click ok. but where should this toolbox folder be? I find it under programs-solidworks-toolbox...as subfolders there are data-data utilities-lang.....if I click configure does not find the database. .

I don't know what you're talking about, even if I can imagine. However I am just trying to learn how to use the program on my brother's pc that is engineer and that I don't see often (this is why I joined the forum).

I have 2010, but you shouldn't look for "toolbox" but the "solidworks data" folder. in the guide also of 2007 should still tell you the exact name of the folder that does not seem to have changed.
probably the exact path to be inserted in tools _options is c:\solidworks data\.
Otherwise I should install 2007 to help you but I think there's someone in the forum who can help you without me doing this installation.
