Hi, my name is Paul, I'm new in the forum and I don't know how it works, you want to forgive me if I'm not in the appropriate section.
I'm an engineer, and I've been trying to analyze stress with autodesk inventor to verify its performance.
My problem arises when I tried to do the fea analysis of an arc consisting of travertine cones subjected to simple gravity (the gravity control set in the relative load curtain).
In fact, the problem does not arise when I have the simple arc of cones but when they place a steel chain that connects the two basic nuts.
short: when the travertine arc is devoid of the chain (disabled chain) (active gravity) the fea analysis is completed correctly and the results also appear very satisfying.
vice versa when the chain object is active and the gravity load applied the resulting fea analysis is carried out exclusively on the new object activated and not on the nuts that are part of the simulation.
I press that I have done the analysis of the contacts automatically then without particular handling on the commands that offers inventor.
It seems strange to me that only the addition of a simple component upsets the simulation so it is evident that I mistake something, I want the force of gravity to act on all components without exclusion.
