Good evening.
I made an ipart of taper lock taper compasses, loading the file in the attachments sometimes served to someone.
There are only two sizes (1610 and 2012 and relative holes available) , those that for now served me, in fututro if I need to update, or if someone adds positions can reload the file.
version : inventor 2021, if you need older versions ask as well.

the problem that I wrote an inaccuracy at the time, as an inventor, in my opinion without a plausible logic, not from the possibility of saving in previous versions. I discovered my despite on a job, the client used the previous version to mine and there was no possibility to pass the native inventor files, folding on the steps.
incomprehensible choice of autodesk, which brings not a few problems at work level for professionals, since not all (justly) update the software every year.

I for convenience and precision discharge directly the 3d file and avoid losing time for iparts or other.

In fact, you are eventually discharged on traceparts or one of those... I thought it was cool to have them in the library, and then I would have valued the wind blowing thanks to both!

If you use two or three types, it's a good thing to save them individually in an external library, I'd do it too, but if you're using it iosa and all kinds, trust me that having them in the library speeds up your work and not little, I'd say that it's practically mandatory.

I agree, unfortunately many who come from other cads do not see the potential of the center contained. Sept it well from a big hand.

It was a joke, but here it is all so serious, I will see to adapt myself. googlando "taper-lock 3d" the post of wind was certainly not among the first results, but as soon as I saw the origin cad3d I threw myself for the philosophical reasons you enunciate. I would certainly have done before downloading my version of tl step without writing in a post of 2.5 years ago and hoping for a possible answer (although I arrived immediately and very kind). the convenience of having in one file infinite parametric objects I hope you should not explicit. every time I "to touch" draw a product from trade (types for pipes, thread inserts, and who more has more to put it) the drawing from immediately - starting from the names of the quotas - with the prospect of publishing it in the library. indeed a section of the forum where attaching the "proprie" specific parametric iparts of inventor (as done intelligently and generously by wind) would be very nice. but the incompatibility between the inventor versions is a limitation not recently. take it easy

I knew it was a joke, and my answer wasn't sure to take you back.
creating files with the prospect of putting them in the library, I think it is a great way to approach the problem, actually creating files for the library is long and when I'm in a hurry I also do as you do.
the creation of an argument always in the foreground containing iparts would be a great idea, but as you said the impossibility to go back in the versions would limit its use. The autodesk policy is clear : the software must be updated every year, however, often worsening the performance, because I want to update the hardware part too. As far as I am concerned with inv 23 I do the same things, perhaps with more time, than inv 20 for example. Besides, they do not add functions that might be interesting, one I am asking for for 4 years and every year they tell me that it will be implemented the following year, they seem to me binotto when it was in ferrari : we will win the prox year. (a) to remove the tones;

In fact, I have customers or workshops that make up pieces that use inventor, but for lack of time or desire, they do not update every year and every time to pass the files must use step while having the same software. I have to update because other customers update the day after the release (also this excessive and risky if there are issues in the release)
