item settings - delete cache date

I've always wondered what this setting needed, which I haven't used, because the online help doesn't explain it very well.

cache files are files that are recorded in a temporary memory that serve to speed up opening and other operations; clean it serves to free space of course, but above all, in the case of solidworks, for the correct loading of files. It can happen that by opening a whole this goes into the cow without apparent reason; it happens because in the cache the memory of a file with the same name is incorrectly loaded. same speech can be done for drawings that at the end of the day struggle to move or are graphically unreadable: White views, crazy lines, unselected entities, etc...; even in this case usually cleaning the cache the problem is resolved.
the cache, if I don't remember badly, is automatically deleted at each session closing, but if you don't do it for eight hours below better intervene manually.
