I wanted to ask if there is a possibility to convert or create a read-only detail x jt files in solidworks.

Hi.

c'ho sbatutto a little with the jt file and the only one to open it natively is nx or solidedge.

the problem is that if the file has been saved without solid bodies or surfaces you cannot export anything.

there is a viewer named jt2go if I'm not mistaken that is free and allows you to open the file but you can only measure and display: http://www.jt2go.com/if I do not erro sw does not open it directly.

I did so: I did the job with sw then I imported it in itself or nx by combining the plans so as to see the interference that there were. It is a little long but it is the only solution that I found

you can do this:
1) from nx you export the jt file to vrml;
2) from solidworks you import the vrml file.
the only flaw is that the file is only graphic format and therefore cannot be measured.

Do you have to read the jts or export them?
