when you learn yourself you lose several info, fortunately a colleague taught me to use the function keys.
in 3d environment:
f1 guide
f2 opens the selection window
f4 mixed view fil iron/shaded
f5 hides 3d to show only 2d geometries
f6 switch between iron fil or shaded
f7 shows/hides plans
f8 shows the current pl reference terna
f9 shows or hides the missing menu bar on the right
f10 shows or hides the base reference frame
f11 enables full screen display
f12 hides pattern tree
There are others, just look at the gui customization.
