hello to all, I am paolo [chiedo di perdonarmi nel caso in cui sia errata la posizione del post nel forum, ma mi sembrava la più appropriata]. to conclude the second year of architecture sciences and are in great difficulty on the laboratory project: Therefore, I invoke all the help of this world, with the utmost humility.
I explain the project: torino, at the gates of the historical center, a very consolidated context, with strongly nineteenth century characters, with residences to be redeveloped and historical-architectural aspects to be maintained and/or valued if they were "worthy of note". by entering into the specific, one of the exercises that is not bringing good fruit according to the architect professor, is the new residential intervention, in via biella 9 --> http://maps.google.it/maps?hl=it&um=1i ... cbyqnwiwaa
in this civic, there is a building that we have chosen to demolish (on the advice of the professor) for its poor architectural value and for its poor functionality: it is a ballatoio building in fact.
I'm coming to the problem now. the problem is not so much in designing plants, sections, functions, etc. etc. the real big problem, for me, was to fail to give a strong character to the new architecture.
I ask your help in this sense: Think of having a historical context, in which the new intervention is "contained" between two buildings to be preserved (so while maintaining the street wire and the short wire of the buildings), and of having to be able to give a particular character to the facade. Here, the problem is the prospectus. and all this related to it, as choice of recall materials, choice of openings etc. etc. to make things difficult is my ignorance about the architecture of the '900: the professor in fact basically asks a prospect traceable to an established architect of the nineteenth century, asking to pretend to be in him (e.g. I am red aldo and project in this way, I am straight and I intervene in this way, I am born and project such facade, I am frank albino and put the windows in this way), allegando as in concrete I would need your knowledge of the architecture of the '900 and the ways to design residences of the "great veterans" in established historical contexts, such as torino. However, the exercise in question is very limited by the professor, as it establishes as fixed parameters the fact for example that there are lodges (or at least a large number of fenestrate surface) on the roadside, as oriented to the south. I attach an image of my project to us:http://i48.tinypic.com/2a4zw49.jpg(real problem of my project: It has no famous references, it did not start from similar known projects, it does not have a strong identity, it does not start from a "going in the shoes of the famous bloke architect", it is not very elegant on the facade).
and the prospect of context without project: http://i49.tinypic.com/abox9j.jpgcharacters to maintain possibly: regularity of openings, higher ground floor.
help I ask you: ideas, perhaps even sketched as you succeed, of buildings of this small size, as would have made them a famous architect of the '900, with reference to his famous achievements. I unfortunately am a little poor in knowledge of the architects of the '900. Thank you so much in advance, if you help me through this lab, I'll be grateful for your whole life. (by the way, I would need a little urgently)
Bye-bye soon! If you're interested in helping me, I can leave everything you need: dwg, maps, sections, plants, details, addresses, data etc. etc.
