hello to all, I would need to create a library of unified components such as profiles, bolts, profiles, angles etc. In particular, I need class one.
I have read other open discussions about which it was recommended to leave the content center lost; in those cases however the user needed a library containing pieces or assemblies created by them, while in my case the components of the library are all unified pieces, as specified above.
someone who can help me? thanks in advance to all

seems to me the continuous of this.:confused:http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=33650 .
with inventor purchased in Italy and underline purchased, the bookcases are normally present and installable together with the first installation, so I don't see why you have to "create" in your own.
unless you have difficulty finding original installation supports...

Yes, we say the problem is very similar. the product is original and regularly purchased in Italy, but our need is to create our own custom library, made of components and materials.
the fact is that having not available the library that includes the elements one, creating from nothing all the pieces would be a piece...! I don't know if I explain:

.

for my experience instead I highly recommend the center contained for these reasons:

1) various free libraries (uni/din/anse and others) (other software make you pay;
2) these libraries are customizable (you can add families and components not present)
3) you can publish your components
4) the various families of structural forms unified or created by us can be used in creating frame generators, a very useful tool if you design carpentry.

so you do your ratings

Maybe I speak Swahili.:36_9_4:
I repeat, if you have the installation support, the libraries you already have, beautiful, ready and complete.
and also free!!
are not add-ons, you just have to relaunch the installation and install only the other library.
If you have installation problems, let's talk about it.... more than that, shall we tell you?

quoto.

I can't understand:confused: you already have the bookstores, din, iso and many other already beautiful that ready to use and available and you want to create some other ex novo that are nothing but a copy of those that are already there? but for what purpose?

I would understand if there were not, then it would be worth doing it, but since there are already, why waste time to do the job twice and above all uselessly?

if you have installed "other" libraries during installation, you will automatically find them in all automatic inventor generators (the chassis, bolted connections, etc.).

so, if you haven't done it yet, I would suggest you relaunch the inventor's "setup" program, as already suggested by tarkus, and check out those libraries that you most likely didn't pop up during the first installation.

Look, when I install inventor I point out these libraries during the installation phase and I have all the components I need in all the generators, including the square tubes and others.
the bookstores you need to check out are:

- Iso
- Din.
- Hanging
- inventor processing
- other (where there are All standardized unit)
- standard parker content
- inventor path systems

try to do so, reinstallal Good and I assure you that you will find yourself with all the normalized ones that interest you and, finally, many more!

I have a similar need: I regularly use the standard content center, and so far everything ok.

but I would like to make an iam and ipt bookcase of particular standards that we use in the company, so that we can quickly load them in the assemblies as if it were an iso bolt... divide them by categories: pins, wheels, holes, etc... in which to find the list of the particular standards we use.
I currently have several iams, one by category, where there are all the saved details, to load them open the iam and I make the copy/paste of the particular, or seeing the drawing code from the distinct base load directly from the archive.
I think we can do it, but how? ?
Thank you!

I'm like this:
I have a project called "free components" where I created a directory where I put all the details "standard for internal use".
I add this directory as a library to each other project,
That's enough for me to use the "place" command to get it at hand.
Moreover, being configured under the project as a library, the various files are not editable, and this avoids accidental local changes that would then be reflected on other projects that contain incorrectly modified files.

Thanks tarkus!
Have you ever tried to make your details appear on the content center?
Also your solution is very good, then for example for gas pistons, I usually put the flexible axieme and can handle them to see the race etc. flexibility in your case works or being set as a library does not take command?

on the cc I only published custom profiles to use with the frame generator.
I didn't do anything else.
As for flexibility: it works.
what does not work, are the position representations.
I mean, I did a pneumatic cylinder with open/closed positions on a project that wasn't the one in the library, then I copied it in the library.
But if I put it in other projects, okay flexibility, but the positions are gone.
maybe creating it directly under the library project, but I didn't try.. .

Okay, thank you all! I'll work on it... I think it will follow the solution of tarkus!

Bye to all,
I return to ask for your precious help:
in in inv2012 I had created a new custom bookcase in read/write, to be able to copy the families of details (e.g. iso 7380) and create custom length screws that can be imported directly from the cc.

from a few weeks the library is no longer in read/write but it has become only reading, even creating a new library, the latter turns out to be in read alone and in no case it is possible to editate its properties.
Following this problem I can no longer edit the tables of the individual norms concerned, and then create custom bolts.

do you know how I can change the properties of the custom family?? ? ? ?
Thank you! ! ! ! !

try to go into the path of the libraries from windows, make dx key on the file of your custom library and see there is the attribute of "read sun" of windows. In case you get out of here, come on, close and reopen inventor that you never know and try again.
