I propose to you the dilemma of the day, I hope to explain the best possible what I can not do

I have to design a system to cut a sheet and paste it perfectly on a complex surface, making the lembi perfectly match, therefore without overlapping nor free spaces.

for this reason I came to mind the function of inventor in which the plates are designed and there is the possibility to create the "flat model".
now I arrive at the question: Is there a way to import files drawn as parts in sheet mode and cut them so that they can be opened as "flat model"? ? ?

I hope I have been clear, I also expect questions of clarification. . .

sheet metal functions, for my experience, only work on parts created in inventor
when it matters something, the flat model will never return...
other consideration.. the sheet works well for folded objects. for funnels or other things, the flat model again does not function
except for those who use it more than me...

with inventor and no other kind of software
It's mathematically impossible, you always do with approximations
look, for example, the maps and all the paturnies that market and associates have been made over the years...

I confirm what has already been said, inventor only spys on what in reality is done with a knife bending machine or grill. all that is made by press and mould cannot be obtained.
