Hello, everyone!
I have a few questions to ask you!
first I can't understand where you control the default light

second I have to realize a scaffolding made up of two upright and current elements now I have to find the procedure to get to the rendering since there are more issues like once you create a block can not change the materials so I developed a procedure and I would like to know if it is correct trying to explain to me at best:

starting from the two basic elements and working distinctly check the materials and create a single block to make the selection more simple without having too many parts,

place all elements or with an array or manually!

What do you think? alternatives?
Thank you so much!

What version do you use?
if you check the materials and make it from the "view/render" menu? if you have a 2008 or higher version there is also a specific workspace. selectable from the "workspace" palets. I also do not understand the advantage of creating the block, but also with the autocad renderings certainly not excel

Thanks gil!
I use 2008 thanks to the advice regarding light control. as regards the blocks I have found a problem or I am carrying out a scaffolding and being each element (current, upright, stacked) formed by several parts in the assembly of the entire scaffold I wanted to combine the individual elements in a single block (for each element) so as to simplify the selection procedure. ..only that I noticed that a vault created a block can not change the materials for rendering and it is unthinkable to explode the individual parts to assign the materials later for this I asked if the procedure was correct.

bhè a solution is to apply the materials before creating the block... then create it and all copies will already have the materials.

Shut up to apply them just double click on the block, you open the block editor apply the material, and save the block, it is automatically updated for all others.
