Good day to all,
work with nx.8 and I have this need:
Is it possible to lighten a set (I mean as a block) to bring it to another more complex set? ? ?
when the machines become complex, it would be desirable to manage the parts that make it as if they were blocks.
This problem arises as the axieme of the complex machine becomes too heavy and the speed of work becomes really too slow... .
I'm probably the one who still can't use the program in the most correct way! ! !
Thank you.

1) use components in lightweight 10% gain and 20% if you also enable the partial loading extra option in customer default (use load smart lightweight data)
2) wrap assembly 90% (required license)
3) link exterior 80% (necessary license)
4) Simplify assembly 70% (necessary license)
5) product outline 100% because it is only display (necessary license)

we can also add the "representation" under the menu: assembly - advanced representation.
old face representations, used in reference sets.
these also need license.
Good job!

if the problem is the "layout" (to be done as a table) a procedure can be:
1) Create machine assembly 1
2) create the table of the total of the machine 1 (magari with the lightweight views)
...... repeat for all machines
3) create the table "layout"
4) activate machine table 1 (point 2) )
5) copy of the view in the plant
6) pastes in the layout
... repeat for all machines
7) add, directly in the 2d all details (protections, encumbrance, etc)

in nx8.5 I saw in what's news a function called drawing booklet... Maybe it could help.

for performance... in addition to the excellent nx user tips I think it is important to remember to make a part cleanup occasionally
from some tests I had done loading times, with/without lightweight (after refile in the current version), they were reduced by about 40%. This is part of a plane's engine.
