Hello, everyone.
I have been trying for a couple of days in the use of v5 catia, software used by my drawing course.
since I started using it I managed to solve all my problems thanks to this forum, but now I have a small problem that I can't solve.
I have to use the cutting function through a plan, but limited to a part of my object, as in the figure:

if I use the function cut as it is, I am cut all the piece, even the lower part (which is precisely intersected by the plane).
How do I limit the cut to the only circled area in red?
Thank you.

I can't use my pocket command, or at least I don't think so.
I have to bevel the circled edges like those at the base.
Actually, instead of using a cutting plan, I discovered the bevel function that does exactly what I need :d
But the problem remains: How do I cut a single part of my object?
If you want to smooth that edge using the size function, how should I do it? if the cutting plane is very tilted, I also cut the base of the object!

Now I understand what you have to do. there is the bevelous command!
You can do it with your pocket. do a sketch on the right vertical face, you can also do only one line, as long as you say that part cut. or do a triangle and then cut the inside.

the "cut" command does not serve to do these things. cuts with a plan that is infinite.
Hello, lightning, do you use your cat? I didn't know:
eh si...

Hello. I think there's another system. in wireframe & surface design draws a sufficiently long line on the side face of the part you want to cut, extrude the line to get a surface, cut compared to it of the part to cut.I think it works. Good job.
