Look, I had to deal with the lisp years ago when I was planning under autocad, and I have to say that when I hear it pronounce, my stomach gets hurt. and how much I see the list, full of parentheses, worse still. It is an ostic language to learn, surpassed by an oop point of view, slow mooolto to runtime and I find that there are therefore few libraries on which to support when planning. In short, time spent badly on something superseded and archaic, but if you are more than forced ... patience, and wishes!!! now you do everything in c++ and c#, on this it does not rain at all

everything depends on the approach you have with the things, you probably had a negative impact with the lisp, I personally find it simple as logic, even if sometimes Moroccan, but in many cases with few lines solve a lot of problems.
making a comparison, to build a car it is better to have a chain of assembly, with various knowledge and equipment studied ad hoc (language c++ and c#), to plant 2 nails it is better to have good manual ' and a hammer (language lisp)
