Good morning
in these vacation days I reopened a drawing book of when I was student.
at some point proposes an exercise talking about "making drawing".
However, I cannot understand what is different from a manufacturing design than the classic mechanical drawing board with quotas and tolerances.


Does anyone have the clearest ideas of mine?

on various books, theoretical notions and beautiful company ....often all well distant from reality.
a design of manufacture, in reality must be realized with knowledge of cause. the quotas must be thought according to how the piece will be realized and with the control quotas. there will be all the necessary indications, perhaps also the starting rough and some notes on the particular cycles of manufacture.
is a somewhat less academic design but more aimed at "what you need".

Well, technical/engineering drawings can be of various kind.
for example we have a design of assembly, an installation design (which unlike the design of assemblies, can be concentrated on assembly sequence with quotas to be controlled to the assembly), a design of modification on an existing component (that for example can be of trade), a design of a mechanical scheme or a layout, a control design on vendor parts, etc.
In short, the designs can be many and certainly the more structured the company increases. we say that the design of assemblies and the design of the details are the basis also in small/medium reality.

Hello everyone
one of the most used design software to draw steel is tekla.
the designs are distinct in:
- design/assembly designs
- assembly drawings
- prefabrication designs
Suppose we have designed an industrial shed with steel pillars and whims:
- design/assembly designs: means drawing the whole shed
- assembly drawings: means to draw the assemblies alone, such as the whole roe composed of upper and lower currents, plates and diagonals.
- Prefabrication drawings: means drawing the single piece, for example the first diagonal of the roe with the respective holes.

therefore more than anything else is a corporate interior design: At the same mechanical part, two companies can produce different designs, according to the controls they consider necessary.
