Help me that I've been batting the boss for five days.
I have the task of rendering a production (historical, current and future) of a company that makes silkscreens on glass. glass objects of different shapes have been purchased on which to apply serigraphs, and objects: vases, glasses, various containers have almost always forms traceable to trunkcons.
serigraphy is made exclusively on the external surface of the object.
I tried to create 3d objects by isolating external surfaces and applying graphics as a texture of the material. Unfortunately the graphics files (more than 400) have been realized according to the real production and then imagine that they are contained in an arc band (just like the development in plan of the outer surface of the truncated) and when I go to choose the cylindrical mapping on v-ray he applies it to me but I can not make coicidere the 2 ends of the circle arc band of the graphics.
after a few hundred years of evidence and seen a dozen tutorials I desiced not to rely more on the only rendering engine and I tried to make graphics as an object (polysuperfic):
Having the graphics also in vectors (.ai) I tried to make polysuperfici and then to "piegarle" but the polysuperfici bend in a non-omogeneous way (and they do a little gross).
I hope you understand the problem and that some of you know how to solve it... You'd save my life.
