hello to all:smile: new question, more practical
assuming that you have to associate a material with a cube as I have to proceed?

I tried both with the mapping on all faces, left cube in the image, but in the upper face I have the tiles that are not parallel to my cube, I tried to change the angle but rightly if I add the face above I have all sides crooked.

My other attempt was to explode the cube and proceed with the planar mapping, dx cube, but also here I had a problem on one of the faces. definitely here is a settling problem, I probably have to change the orientation of the applied or similar material but I don't know how to do it.
Immagine.webpWhat's the right way?

It is right to use mapping on all faces, but you have to rotate the mapping zigmo and not texture. I'll explain.
when applying the mapping (both flat and on all faces) you have the ability to rotate the cheekbone.
to do so you must type r and then send, choose the axis of rotation, and to "eye" or help with the osnap the checks the new inclination (or garden in this case does not work).

Thank you:
Immagine.webpLast thing, even if I think you can't do it, once the cube explodes, is there any way to reassemble it?

Have patience given me another doubt:confused:

If I wanted to map only one face of my cube but keeping it as a single block, without exploding it, how do I do? because with planar mapping if it remains single block does not make me select a single face.. .

Maybe I answer myself... .

I explode, but what I have to map and then I create a block....but there's a risk that I'm weighing my drawing, or not?

to map one face (or more) you must first map the rest of the solid, then press ctrl and click with the mouse on the desired face and apply the new material

with the command sculpt surfaces (sculpiscisuperf) found in the surface menu.
Perfect! Thank you for all these clarifications:

Of course, at school they teach you a third of the commands and for everything else they tell you that you can't do.

Thanks again:
