In the sense that the mass is in kg, the weight force understood as mass * gravity acceleration in n: in fact on many lifting devices, to comply with the norms that indicate n as a force measurement unit (weight in our case), the dan appear that go to replace the kg. if you use the kg it would be correct to indicate linear _massa_, not _peso_ linear.
then in my experience the catalogs write that it weighs 2kg /m "because it has always written so and it's okay so", and where I work for example we would be in three to understand the difference
