Something very strange happens to me on a file that I don't create but that I have to update.
the final product is a series of more assembled, each set has its own levels of detail.
the table was created starting from the general axieme and choosing the levels of detail.
the main problem is that when I go to add the ball, the number of the part is not the same indicated in the list of components.
If I click with the dx and choose the option "associa reference number from list" comes out a list of components with many parts with the same reference number and the new components I added are missing completely.
I have the impression that this file has been edited many times and by more people and is a bit confused.

there are too many variables (drawing made by other person, perhaps more than one, possible changes and forcings of the bom.., do not know your procedure for the ball and the design intent (subassiemi as a unique part or to note the individual components...., with which version the axes were modeled and with version you are working on it..) so that it is difficult to answer.
try to verify that the structured view and parts only of the bom are "abled" and at the time of the ball try with parts only settato.
in case you can act personally in the bom to make corrections on "lascites" of colleagues.

definitely the starting version is before when the chassis generator was introduced, there is still the skeleton.
As for the bom, I had seen that I had to edit it and it was set as you suggested.
However, there is no correspondence between the bom table and the list of parts, surely already edited manually.

try to erase the separate parts and create it by selecting the axieme file or, alternatively, the main view you want to have the distinct.
if you have not already done so, enable the "structured" tab within the distinct components.
