material and stem treatment

Hello, everyone, I'd like to ask for advice. .
having to design a stem of an oleodynamic cylinder, which flows inside a c45 steel shirt, what material you recommend to me for the stem, and especially what treatments should I do on the stem? ?
I hypothesized a stem also in c45 with 20micron hard chrome tract.. What do you say? ?

can go well, or simply stainless (although it costs more).

then verify the tip load and any side loads of exercise. attention to the material used for the bronzine head that must be compatible with the hard chrome.

You might well leave the stem to the natural, just use c45. depends all on bronzine/stelo coupling and materials and loads....so on wear.

usually the stems of the hydraulic cylinders are in chromed c45, if there are no particular requirements.
cylinder head is usually performed in hydraulic cast iron and performs the stele driving function without any particular treatment.
If you carry out the steel head, you have to predict in addition to the seals offices, even the i/gr-type guide seats, or if there is no sufficient space for the guides, you have to put in a forced way a bronze and then work all the assembled piece (head+ bronze).

too many c45.. .
parts flowing between them should not have the same material
or at least not with the same hardness!

I have never designed cylinders, but they tell me that the stem must be hardened superficially (I think it goes well) to prevent the oil from scratching the stem due to oil pressure.
