I am beginning to play with ansys11 and should check the holding of a pin in 38nicrmo3.
in the preloaded table is not there. then I did some receptacles but not all the data that asks ansys are found.

- module of young 2,06e+005 mpa
- polka dot 0.3
- density 7,856-006 kg/mm3

ansys also asks me:

- traction yield
- compression yield load
- traction breakage load
- compression breakage load

below what I think you can leave

- thermal expansion
- alternating stress
- deformation-cycle parameters
- thermal conductivity
- specific heat
- relative permeability
- residivity

apart from the last group I think is trascible, where do I find the four loads of the middle group?
there is a prontuario or a site where these info are found. or is there a library from which to download these properties? or perhaps with some formulas that do not know get?

proof of consultation http://www.matweb.com/index.aspxcmq if you are doing a linear analysis you can also insert arbitrary values and see if the analysis turns. you need to read the result, or better to see how much stress is far from the critical values of the material.

Thank you. I think there's what I'm looking for. sin that it is in English and not being mechanical but electronic I do not know the exact translation of the technical term in Italian so I must compare them with another known material. Once the reading key is found, I'm fine.

tensile yield strenght is the traction yielding load, tensile ultimate strenght is the traction breakage load. of course with compresses refers to compression.
