material different to one pillar

hello to everyone for a few days I've been trying to use revit, my quaint is when I try to make a pillar for example 30x30 and check a material by changing it from the properties by type he obviously changes the materials to all the pillars, but if I want to change a material to a single pillar of that type 30x30 where should I intervene? change the parameter of the material from type to instance

or

rename the pillar with other name

you have to select the pillar and click on Family change... in the household editor click on family types... highlight the parameter material E pulsing click change in the panel opening ideas That's right....

.... but if you have not yet dealt with the study of families it is better than to duplicate the pillar by assigning another name
