tools/options/infrastructure/material library ................ from an eye you can make sure that the material is inside the part or is connected and the edit of the library also edit the files............ I really don't have the guide, I see if I can get it together with the r20 (for now we're on the r19, however recent). Also the option for saving the properties is a no bad mouth.
in my opinion having the link to the library can make sense to insert the material data in the form of parameters in the specific tree.... otherwise it would only be a duplicate of the data.

In my opinion there are few parameters that can now be managed, for an isotropic material for example I have only modules of young, polka dot, density, limit of proportionality and coeff. of thermal expansion
