Hello, everyone, I have a little problem.
in the office we have updated all the materials we use (about a hundred) with different parameters. Unfortunately the drawings do not automatically update (it turns out the material in the part is embedded and not a simple "link")
Is there any way to update all these designs automatically? we talk about 2200 drawings about

I read all the discussions but I can't get a spider out of the hole. If you happen to know how to move, could you please help me?

to try to tell you if modelcheck does to your case I should better understand what you need, if you place an example where you show us where the parameter is not updated will be all clearer

to start with modelcheck you need to check to have in your installation folder the modchk subfolder, then one thing like c:\programs\wildfire4\modchk.

if you do not have to run "ptcsetup.bat" again from the installation folder/cd, and between the functions to install, under "options" select modelcheck.

then download the document (270 pages in English) from here: https://www.ptc.com/view?im_dbkey=111133 (serve a ptc account) and study it, applying pdf examples on configuration files in the modchk folder from time to time.

a little pass at a time and you'll see that you'll begin to understand how it works.

I use, I create 2.0 m110, but for example the modchk folder I do not have. I tried to remake the installation and modelcheck came up as an additional content. I also have the program as executable

But when the launch closes me automatically.

the guida comunque la leggerò!

can you insert photos directly into the forum? as well as external connection I am blocked by the corporate proxy.
However there is no need for external executables, modelcheck you can run it from within proes (unless you want to control so many objects in batch mode, but let's step one step at a time)
I add that in addition to the pdf manual that I indicated there is also the internal help proe (to me however it is more convenient the pdf as consultation)

then I heard ptc assistance and now the model check works perfectly.
He gave me an infarinated how to add/remove parameters and relationships.
I am doing some tests (batch mode, I have too many files to edit) but I already have the first cases :d
the type of assistance showed me that to add a parameter, I have to insert all the others too, otherwise it bothers me. sin that if I reinsert the parameters, he empty them completely. . .

ie you modified the .mtl files and you want to reassign them to the parts so that they take the new parameters?

Yes.
the customer care answered me like this. But I find it rather silly. .

Hello Mr. Mazzocchi,

I saw your comment.
with interactive modelcheck it is possible to update the material, but there is condition that the material must be different.
I remember that he had set a material to (version1) to a part.
then disposes of that material though with a version2.
and wants to replace version1 material with version2.

In this case modelcheck can't replace with a... it doesn't make any sense.
If you call a version2 with some other name, an example of a2 will be working.

cordial greetings,
hassan adordordor

If you want this suggestion, stop:

• add material_name a2 to the .mcs start file
• set material_info and check file .mch

greetings,
hassan adordordor

the system they proposed would only suit you if you could divide into folders the various details according to the assigned material; then process the folders by changing from time to time the parameter of modelcheck material_name.

Do you have a way to do that? (e.g. if you have a pdm with the material between the designated parameters you do)

I'm afraid I'll reassign the material from time to time. .
cmq do not have a pdm in the office
