hello to all, sorry for the "banal" request, but I wanted to understand what that symbol means (black/white circle) in the x=0 z=0 axis to understand us.

Thank you.

Hi.
mah, I don't know if there's a specific rule about it, I know that it's usually used to indicate the "reference points": the position of a centering plug, or the origin of the quotation system to coordinates, in your case I would say trivially the "zero" piece, that is the point where to make the zeroing of the tool regarding the piece to return

Indication

"op" piece origin or called: the piece setpoint, the zero piece, the working terna of that piece is called in several ways

the op is the position of the zero piece to refer to for the assignment of
coordinates of the fundamental points of the profile of the piece

Are you an industrial student? or classic? ?

that symbol you should use when the odds are tabled. If you use arrows I find it rather useless. . .

Hi.

hello guys thanks for the help......responding to rs4 no, I'm not an industrial or a classic but I'm in all other field (electrical equipment) we say that this is my passion that I'm trying to learn independently I don't expect what but I would like to get to read the drawings without problems. ;)

as they have rightly said the others are typical examples of work on numerical control lathe (in the third figure you can also see the tool with the various past drawn) and that symbol indicates the "zero piece" that is the origin of the reference system regarding which the machine calculates the quotas to do the processing. practically choose where to put it and then then write a machine language with quotas related to that origin... the machine reads the instructions and moves to do the processing.
