Bye to all,
I went to w10 keeping the same hw and sw (solidworks 2017). The difference now is that I've been alerted that they tell me I don't have enough memory and it feels weird.
when the message comes out I have ~9gb occupied on 16 and 4500 gdi objects only for sw. in total will be ~7000. on 10000 permissions from windows

Is it normal that such low thresholds appear?

It's a little weird. What hardware do you have? When do you see what you're working on?

I have an i7 quite recent and an amd w5000 still current. usually appears on the table. but not even the heaviest (in fact takes about 60% ram "only")

test with the indications of the link of taurus, xché is very strange with 16 gb of memory. to me appeared those alerts in the past with old ws that did not have 16 gb and only in particular moments, like a very complex table mass or a fem simulation quite push. with more recent ws and with 16 gb I never appeared again. I also add that I have never set anything beyond what sets default.

so can I try to increase the file page or add ram regardless?
at the current state the paging file as it is set? If it is already set with the word "sizes managed by the system" I think you can't do anything, and the only way is to increase the ram maybe from 16 to 32gb.
