friendly users of the forum,
Hello, everyone. I am drpulsae, written years ago, and this is the first time I start a discussion here. are the first weapons with the software patran 2012. I am modeling structural elements in order to perform a static analysis of the model. This model consists of numerous solids divided into groups. the problem that I find is that if place of the already shaped solid groups I realize that the mesh created previously are incomplete. in practice disappear numerous knots and elements. I thought the problem depended on the fact that I used the equivalence function set on all, which afflicted the parts previously shaped as, for modeling needs, I had changed the tolerance of the function to 3 mm. I remodeled paying attention to set the equivalence function on group by varying the tolerance when necessary within the parameters mentioned above. the problem has turned out. for completeness I add that:
- solids have been modeled in 2d, being all laminates (plates, closed section beams);
-the scale of the model is in meters and the overall tolerance is set on 1e-005;
-I performed group equivalence function by group;
-The software is installed on a portable acer aspire 5750g with 4 gb of ram, processor intel core i7-2630qm 2 ghz, graphics card nvidia geforce gt 540m.
I trust your questions and advice and hope to understand soon how to solve this problem.
cordially, drpulsae.
