Hello, everyone. I'm having to follow my company's technical office and I'm now starting to look out for proe/intralink.
I am doing some configuration tests and I wanted to know something: now I have a user with workstations "pc1" that currently uses proe.
I am preparing the workstation "pc2" with the same user profile.

my question is: how do I keep all the previous workspace ( .proi and local.ddb if not erro) and transfer it to the new machine?

Thank you.

p.s. sorry if the question can be trivial for you.
an yes, the version of proe is the wf4 m160

Actually, it's a little unusual what you want to do, since you can check-in files and check-out in the new car, the pdm is for this.

an ok. i do check in of all files of the workspace and then, on the new machine that will be created at the new workspace I will check out of the previous files thus recreating the old workspace.
Okay. I will try if it is the + simple method.
Thank you.

if you don't want to dirty the commonspace you could export to disk the workspace folders, then move them to key in the new pc, then reimport them to the new workspace
at this point you will find that the files already resident in the commonspace will be indicated with a red signal,
highlight all and update then ok ( amounts in worspace existing data in the commonspace by replacing them with those you imported from the disk and since they are the same there will be no problem )

vice versa follow the method that you have indicated by creating a pass_data folder in the commonspace that then at the end of the operation you will delete so as not to dirty the commonspace with data that should not be stored

Hi.

I did some evidence. I took the workspace (all the .proi folder) and copied it even on the new pc.
It worked...

it also works so but we say it is a method that is not recommended

other methods are more schooling but surely error-proof
