If you are in tc go to the portal and "open...".
If you're on file system, you have no hope.

Meanwhile dear pitch would need a minimum presentation to the friends of the forum, then in my opinion to your problem there is no solution, if you do not have a bkup of the previous file you are screwed.

pro-e instead has a system that inserts to each save a revision index, for example, parts with lamiaparte.prt to the next rescue you will have lamiaparte.prt.1 and so on prt.2, prt.3, unfortunately in your case you have it in the foot :biggrin:

nx works with the "versions" in tc (there is a parameter that says how many must be preserved), but not on file system.
I liked the solution pro/e.. .
I also had a windows menu doing the "purge".

on some versions of windows, you can activate the shadow copy, that is the ability to recover the overwritten file. ovviamante you can set the nr of copies to hold. initially it was possible only on server versions but at its time (2 years ago) it was said that they would bring it on all windows...

I had memories about bkups you could recover somewhere, but they probably were about nug on unix platform and not win.
