Bye to all,
:mixed: testing each model before delivery, I wondered if in addition to me some of you use proe modelcheck and if you think so.

Thank you

Hi, Mauri.

we use it a lot and it is a "module" that putroppo few know but that allows you to have control over all your models, in a direct automatic way, or in batch, check the state of the art of the models and their correct setting according to the company standards, it is easy to use, a little less to configure, but depends what you want to get.
Besides the control you can also say to model check to add, parameters or relationships or other spikes, in short explaining it in two words is difficult and not from the right size, but in my way to see it is fantastic and it saves you a lot of time! ;-)

thanks ozzy,
I believe that also the use of the modelcheck is very useful also to those who must deliver to the customer the non-native model (igs, step, etc.). often importing such models if not properly shaped and controlled create problems not to end to those who must use them.

Nothing!
It is also true, it is another modelcheck utility, you can also tell modelcheck to report all "geometric" errors that create problems, like edges below 2 cents, etc.

You can really do everything, too many people use it, it is included in the basic license and it is a great modeling tutor.

It's not like you tell me how to get a relationship. . .

I take this interesting discussion because I'm trying to better configure the work to do...I come to the point

version proe wf5

part
I managed to create in the environment part a parameter that I need... .
I would also like to erase some parameters I don't need. . .

together
I would like both to create some parameters together and delete some that I don't need....

Could you give me a tip?
Thank you.

I answer by myself hoping that someone will share with this discussion. ...

then, I managed to create model check parameters both in the environment and together.

I tried to use prt_param_rename description description description
writing it in .mcs but unfortunately I have no results.....you want how do you do?

I read that I should rename the parameter while keeping its value... .

Thank you.

hello to all....we are implementing the model check as a corporate standard, but in the simulation....I realized that writes a parameter called: ptc_modified, in lock..... "problem"after modelcheck analysis does not allow you to check-in until you regenerate the model. (and this is not always possible).

Has anyone resolved? ?
Thank you.

to delete the parameters on the manual it is written that you have to use in the .mcs file the command:
prt_param_unwanted for parts and
asm_param_unwanted for assemblies

to create a parameter simply create it blank, always in the .mcs file, with the command:
prt_parameter designer str eq null
asm_parameter drawing str eq null
creates the design parameter empty.
attention that though if the parameter already exists emptying (loss pre-existing enhancement).

Does anyone know how to prevent the parameter from being "empty" in case it already exists?
Thank you.

Try so,
prt_parameter designer str eq *
to me it creates it if it does not exist, and does not erase it if instead it exists

Hi.

Thank you.
actually with the wf5 works.
I also tried with creo 2.0 and it does not work. at the hot line they told me that it is a crack bug 2.0.
.

Hi.
I also work with I create 2.0... and unfortunately I haven't managed to solve the problem completely.
according to me modelcheck is a great tool that unfortunately is little known and therefore little used.

of course you can do a lot of things, I for the moment am focusing on managing parameters and precisely:

- creation of parameters in parts
if the parameter exists I must be able to delete the value, preserve it, or assign another value
- deletion of parameters in parts
- rename parameters in parts
I must be able to erase the value, preserve it, or assign another value

- creation of parameters in axioms
if the parameter exists I must be able to delete the value, preserve it, or assign another value
- deletion of parameters in assemblies
- rename parameters in axiemi
I must be able to erase the value, preserve it, or assign another value

have you solved all the questions?

bb

I would like to ask you if any of you have managed to run the command:

param_unwanted <parameter>I launch modelcheck "on demand" then through the interactive option and then my reference file *.mcs is the nostart.

I tried to insert the string of the parameter I want to delete in that file but it does not erase me anything:(</parameter>

Hello, in check.mcs you enabled:

extra_params

see: https://www.ptcusercommunity.com/se...y/1691-102-1-1746/implementing_modelcheck.pdfon page 18.

here instead I had posted a pdf,http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/threads/41795-guida-all-uso-di-modelcheck-per-parti-standard-(pdf)there would be some things to correct and others to add.
I thought I'd put it back as a doc instead of pdf for it to be editable and up-to-date by anyone in the forum.

ah, of course the parameter should not be present in some relationship, otherwise it always keeps it.

I use it to ask a question at the forum: Does someone use modelcheck to update the configuration file (config.dtl) of the table masses?
