Bye to all,
I would like to know if there is a way to model two overlapping beams, as if these were welded throughout the length, in ansys apdl. I've been thinking about the rigid regions, but I don't know if it's right as an idea.
thanks to all

eh wishni :d the contact in classic ansys is a real peeling, especially after version 11.why not try in ansys wb?is a complex structure?

This structure consists of a panel ( rectangular) in steel. the side beams (long side) of the panel rest in turn on two beams throughout the length. clearly these latter are bound to extremes. I am modeling these beams as 2d (beam 188), which I am going to associate a cross section.
I imagined making a series of rigid regions by linking the various elements that make up the beams, blocking all 6 degrees of freedom.
