modification of the radius from a fie step

Hi, I press that they are at first weapons with inventor, I often get data step files that I then have to convert in sheet to be able to put them in work, when I change the parameters in default values I can not change the radius. How can I do that?

being the step a "neutro" file I don't think it is possible with inventor to change odds if not adding new jobs (type add extrusions, bevels.... )

a step file is not parametric: There is nothing you can do to change it with parameters (nothing I know, at least). I never had to do what it takes to you, but I think I would do a new part in sheet metal, with the "derive" command I would include the step file as a superfice in the new part and use the faces to build the part to develop and send in working using your curved rays and factors k.

so I have no way to change the radius of a sheet metal casing for example that comes me in step format from the customer? I convert it into sheet metal I tried to change the k factor to achieve the development I wanted but with high rays I miss too many mm also setting it to 1..

I do not have file step on which to try, but perhaps, after converting the sheet step (to be precise step -> ipt part 3d standard-> ipt sheet) eliminating the folds with the command "separation" and remaking them with the fold command (bend)... but I do not know how it works separation on sheets with "wrong" rays compared to the default sheet values. Maybe you can post something about what you need to work on?

so it is complicated to understand, there can be so many plasters and however the fold (welld) does not need the faces to be in contact, manages the thing... eliminates face still sounds bad because I think you turn the solid part into surfaces. you used eliminates face instead of "separation" because the latter does not work?

Then I solved the problem:
I opened the step file, converted it into sheet metal and then changed the values in the default sheet values.
then I utillized eliminates face that reduced the radius to bright edge, then with fold(bend) I recreated the fold with the radius that served me.
now also creates the folded part with the right measures
