Hello everyone,
I'm a student at the year of architecture.
I would have the need to know, from whom surely knows more than me, 2 things:

1. how can I move a line or object from the perimeter walls layer (example) to the furniture layer (example)?

2. the professor asked me to use different thicknesses to give dynamism to the project both in the plant, in the section and in the constructive details.
I wanted to know if there are tables (maybe by law) that indicate standard thicknesses to be used for supporting walls, interior girders, furnishings and so on... Do you know anything or do I have to do randomly (I don't think)?
also once designed everything with the right thicknesses how can I do to "test" the work done? Do I have to go to the copy shop and do some paper tests? or can I export pdf? the result in pdf will be faithful to what I will print in copisteria on a3?
Thank you very much to anyone who wants to help me.

1. select the object, open the layer drop-down menu and click on the desired one

2. by law there is nothing but there are one standards (then everyone can follow them or not)
As a rule the partitioned walls and parts go with a marked thickness (from 0.35 to 0.50), the views in the plant or prospectus are on the default value (0.20) while x the secondary lines use thin thicknesses (from 0.15 to 0.05). You can only set this to videos, only in print or in both cases, you decide.

As for the thicknesses everything depends on the scale you are working on...... if you work in scale 1:500 you will use the thickness....in that 1:20 others... in the first case you should use a few thicknesses but quite different...in the second case, the thicknesses will increase because you will represent many more elements.
to test the thicknesses the only sure way according to me is the print test...cmq to have an idea the pdf or print preview can help.

thanks to the very useful answers.
in my case I will work in scale 1:50 and 1:20 for some constructive details.
I would like to know, if possible, how to set the display of the thicknesses both to video and in print.. .
thanks to all

Do you want to view the video thicknesses?
or use the variable lwdisplay
determines if the line thickness of the objects are displayed.
this setting is controlled separately for the model space and for all layouts of the paper space.
off line thicknesses do not appear
on line thicknesses are displayed
or click the sln button below in the status bar.

Yes, I mean exactly displaying the thicknesses to video!
Thanks for the very helpful answers, really a nice forum!
but possibly... is there any section where you can post projects to have advice and opinions from other users?
