Bye to all,

I find myself with the need to make welded in solidworks where there are standard parts with code and standard mesh profiles that I could manage as a multibody part and the functions of the welding module.

basically the distinct materials of my welded should be a union between a separate cut and a distinct classical materials.

Does anyone have advice on how to handle this situation?

I tried to create a multibody part and put it in a set along with other library parts, and I can get so correctly the 3d model maybe making virtual the multibody part. but then I can not have on the table or in pdm both the separate cut and the distinct materials.

thanks in advance of any advice.

Hello everyone
the distinct with indentation works quite well though it does not allow me to promote the father, so for solidworks the welded part is a component to do separately even if it is not true. you have to agree with the names of the properties of the bodies with those of the custom properties that normally on use in the distinct materials to have consistent things on the same column, but it is a problem that you overcome.
regarding the method of the selection rectangle I did not manage to use it, I will use the distinct materials.
Thank you.
