hello to all;
I have a problem with a multibody part that I don't use most of the axes, except for welds.
I created a plate that should be interfaced to a reducer; I put the reducer inside the part to take the relays of the fixing holes; until here everything ok but when I make the table the material of the plate is not connected; hoh controlled in the properties of the document and tells me that the material is connected to the parent part that in this case is the reducer that having different materials tells me that the material is not specified. How do you manage this? allego file hi

the multibody parts in fact represent the welded, however why not make the plate in the axieme in which you put the reducer?

if you create a part and insert to the reducer as a derivative part commands the material of the part and the properties of the reducer you will find in the possible separation of cut.you can find escamotage how to keep the only plate eliminating (function deletes bodies) the rest, or giving the reducer, if commercial, the material of the plate.. .

What do you mean weird working??? If then you tell me it was better to use the asses??? This time I didn't do it with assembling just for a matter of time......... I am going to do it this morning. .

I tried to remove the bodies but nothing changes??? ? is normal

I mean, an operation that should be done together, so to bind the part to the reducer in that environment, you do it in the environment part with unnecessary complications.
the multibody I understood it and always managed as the modeling of a particular composed of elements that will be welded... How do you mean that?

It happens. however the method is the one reported in post #6; you can do it even after inserting the part by right-clicking on the part or function and editing function
