multiple body selection multibody part

Hello, everyone!
I ask for help to speed up selections of multiple bodies in a multibody part.

I better explain my situation.
I have a model, derived from step, a multibody ipt, which is a 3d relief of a plant.

from this side where I have everything inside, I would like to be able to select only some bodies to insert into a new part.
as I know, with the command comes, but I wanted to know if there is a way to select, maybe with some window, only the bodies I care about. Consider that the part contains about 1800 solids.

I could also do a "save by name" of my part and delete what I don't care, but how can I make a unique selection?
setting the body selection or feature I can select only one item at a time.... I put a life on it because I have hundreds of solids to select.

Is there a way to do everything faster?

use inv 2019
Thank you.

I, in these cases, pass directly the file to rhino and take it from there.
Alternatively, you may try to open the stp file, which is converted to copy it into the building and delete the original solids.
open the building, separate the solids, select with the windows what you want to delete.
what remains, what you need, join it and cover it as solid multibody.
delete the construction.
of course, it all depends on the complexity of the model.

thanks for the suggestion.
I finally combined with a similar procedure.

through the client I discovered that the basic model of the relief was made in dwg (obtained from the cloud of points of relief). I sent the dwg and managed "file cleaning" through mechanical.
so doing I took 5 minutes eliminating everything I didn't need and subdividing the model into the various parts I needed.

then export in step via mechanical and then the rest with inventor.
also because switching from dwg to model with inventor occasionally makes me messed up in conversion, and definitely puts us much more.

probably with the step dwg -> step -> ipt loses pieces and makes the model much more fluid and manageable.

to make you aware of the model on which I have to work, here is a branch of the smaller plant part

other thing, I have to understand if there's a way to import a step as a whole, rather than as a multibody part. As a result, if there are advantages in file management, also because at the finished plant, among our added parts (large diameter pipes and metal structures) and the machines and/or other that I receive from the external studies of the collaborators, sometimes the assemblies become impossible to manage, especially in the table or export for the customer (it also takes 2/3 hours to export it in dwg) (the customer does not want to install very fast and precise navisworks

try this: leave only the bodies that interest you or hide what you don't care then save it in *.sat and then you reimport it, find a single file with what you need

but my problem remains the body selection.
whether I have to hide or delete them I always have to be selecting them one by one.

This is the infinite operation (which breaks me to do) because from browsers I don't know what they are and therefore I can't make multiple selections (first and last with shift to understand), and from model I have to stand there to zoom on every single piece shaped by the cloud of points.

Well actually setting selection filters on body, you can select the bodies directly on the model

I don't know what can help you select with the window (though it's not that you can filter the bodies), but you could do it using the make components command (I don't even know what it is called in Italian):
