I don't know if in certain times they all happen to me...
we have a contract with a supplier who had to give us the mechanical details about August so already imagine the delays.
the supplier (which we will call a) then gave a sub-contract to another workshop b.
the details from the workshop to arrive with our attached designs.
usually those arriving from the workshop b (with which we have no contacts) arrive without drawing; until today.
Today there have arrived some details from the workshop b with our attached drawing but redesigned and with the cartiglio of the baker to with on written "the detail depicted is property of a. forbidden any reproduction. "
My employer told me to inform me in case of a legal matter.
not being a lawyer someone can tell me how to move or have you had such issues?

i imagine that the supplier put their logo on your design to prevent b from going back to you and avoid the risk of losing a customer (because you probably should be provided directly by b). i am currently assisting a designer, as part expert, for a cause on intellectual property and related compensation to royalties: i assure you that such writings have an important weight in case of disputes. it is better to clarify immediately the matter with a, which could replace the written with "reserved property. prohibited any reproduction." without other indications. while, in your turn, you should put in your drawings the writing that attests your property by accompanying each design sent with a specific authorization for the use of the drawing itself. (possibly with receipt request). i don't know what pieces it is, but if they are serial production, usable in different areas, they could boast of rights and sell them on their own. clarify immediately. (although, i imagine you have the drawings and you can prove the property. )

according to me; b does not know of your existence. has elaborated drawings that have come from to, drawings produced by you, but to maybe removed your cart. so in its processing b it assumed that the drawings were of a and acted accordingly.

in working "ad minchiam" of many italian companies, it seems to me the least of the evils, that can hinder.
probably if you present the thing, s can solve it properly. otherwise change supplier, call b and climb to if it proves unreliable.

you all documents are in archive with related dates. in the drawings is indicated only our logo and also in the contract there was the voice regarding the confidentiality of the components.
the pieces are of plants hardly sold apart, however there are dies that would make it convenient to the competition.. .
