Hello everyone,
I happen this in some ipt files downloaded from the internet (native files or step files saved as ipt):
If I do a "Save Name" (idem "Save Copy Name") of a file, the saved file keeps in the browser the name of the source file, while the number part I read in iproperties is
rightly the name of the new file.
when you go put the file obtained with the "Save Name" in a set you find it again in the browser along with the old name.
Sure, I can rename it in the browser of the part, but this thing not to report the file name remains.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I don't know if I understand your problem well, but I recommend you check the "number part" of the new file inside the "project" tab of iproperties.
I noticed that it always keeps the name of the original file and I always go to change it manually with the name of the new file.

no, the problem together I discovered it after...and this problem I have always had, I mean also with previous versions, obviously in reference to files downloaded from the various online libraries (cadenas,solid components,autodesk manifacturing,etc....)

Yes, I looked. There's a set of properties that report the original name of the file, I tried to rename them with the new name, Nisba, I deleted them, nothing yet.
If I do a new file of healthy plant, it is not that I find the file name in the custom properties, so those are properties added by the author who need it for reminders or to be recalled in the cartiglio etc; it seems that they do not affect the ability to assume the name of the file.... .

- open your compass file (or any other .ipt file to which you renamed the name in the browser)
- click on the name in the browser 2 times as you said to activate the name change
- deletes the name (just empty field)
- by sending
- will take the file name
