Hello, guys.
I wanted to ask, to all those who have (or are doing) mechanical engineering, what notebooks do you recommend me to buy in the line of notebooks dedicated to domestic use (soever no workstation) to use software cad (especially solidworks and a little created)? I was thinking about this http://www8.hp.com/it/it/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=10522287#!tab=specs But the problem is that it has a dualcore processor but still i7, is it okay the same?
I also wanted to ask you how much the cpu affects the cad, if I do not issue the most important component is the gpu ?
Thanks and good day:)

much depends on your budget, if we are on the 1000 € you can definitely find something good.
I have positive experiences with asus and toshiba, look for something with at least 8 gb of ram and video card with 1 gb (better 2) of dedicated memory.

at 1000€ there is hp envy 17 that has so much stuff....cerca that you continue to make similar and equal demands. find comments and prices here on the forum. Look good.

hi, as far as I am concerned, of notebooks I have seen use of several at the university and programs cad turn quite well also on those a little more "old" now (like my hp  ) ...it depends a lot on the level of files that you will find to manage/generate (assiemi, parties etc etc.)...that is, if "for now" you will be able to realize a few parts to assemble/put on the table..according to me you can also keep your budget a little lower...and maybe reserve you to spend something more in the future (in the end of the pack if you think about the models cad 4/5 years ago were realized with pc that we could consider obsole... ...

but do you think a dual-core i7 is enough for the master in mechanical ing? Thank you.

allego performance card of windows 8 of the laptop hp envy 17 mentioned above.
As I said, it would be enough to change the hard drive with a ssd and take off.WP_20160312_19_44_02_Pro.webp
