notebook per architettura .

Hello everyone, I wanted advice from experienced people who definitely know more about me, I'm in the first year of architecture, and I need a good laptop to make me run programs like cad etc. I have a maximum budget of 1000 euros I had found a notebook hp envy touchsmart 15 that has the following characteristics processor i7 4700 sq m , ram of 12 gb, a graphics card nvidia geforce gt740 2gb , windows 8.1 . now I wanted to know from you if it could go well or not and if the touch would give me problems or not . thank you in advance for the answers good day .

basic components are not bad at all. I personally do not prefer nvidia cards, but it is my personal preference.
an i7 and 12gb of ram well lend to processing, even heavy.
more than anything does well to screen resolution, and machine connection equipment.
I had something to do with a xps15. Madam machine is nothing to say, but at the native panel resolution (3200x1800 on a 15") the writings are almost invisible. While in most programs this is only an advantage, in autocad to see the texts I was forced to lower the screen resolution to 1900x1200, otherwise it happened that or read the texts correctly but with the magnifying lens, or all the pops were cut.
Obviously making a lcd screen work at a lower resolution than its native standard loses image quality. . .
other neo of the xps 15 is the total lack of optical units and the lack of a classic network card.
Sure, you can buy an external cd reader and a lan->usb adapter... but on a 1500 euro car you wouldn't expect.
also check that the battery can be detached, both for any reason, and to buy a spare tomorrow.

the price is aligned to the video card that is installed there but my friend that note I took 780€.
is the display matt or glossy? ?
If you have to make architecture a larger dislay makes the difference at least that you do not want to connect it to an external monitor.
excuse if I insist but a 17" is another planet and transportability at the end analogous.

Do I ask you a question?? do you have the idea of how much space does the autocad toolbar occupy on the display? ?
I understand very well that between the 15" and the 17" dance 230 eurozzi that for a student are sold but the possibilities that offers you the 17" with the 15" you can forget them.
one on all for example the possibility to put a ssd in a slot and 1hd in the second.... then when you work it you will see the difference in time recovered and optimized.

you at home can connect it to bigger screens....but at the university you do??? the second hd and the ssd for the os and programs... are not recently, the most powerful vga....maybe you architects are the ones who stress more cpu and vga with render and similar...if online you find enri.. will confirm what I write to you.
I can only advise you then you will decide freely on how to invest your money and remember who spends... less spends.
my old trusted inspiron 9400 core2due still today says its only for the display, I also have 15" but I don't feel good working on it.

ok if the budget is that go with the asus but point to the model with the gt 850m.
the features of the pc you have listed are good...I would change only the video card.

the characteristics of asus are a little better than the hp. the fact that you are at the first year of university is indifferent. . . then that you do when you're a second or a third one you buy another more powerful notebook and then you'll have spent more time when you could spend less from the beginning.
for years I have lived in the unit with architecture students and their elaborates were not lower than those of the professionals at times even higher as they do much experimentation.
