I really don't know how people can be satisfied with... They spoil too often. I am not even happy with hp, the mobile workstation in company with fx1500 frame of 2/3 years ago underwent 2 replacements of the motherboard, a replacement of the video card and the replacement of rams.

for notebooks unfortunately it is so... if they are powerful they spoil... (in my experience for now only 2 brands are saved and from those 2 I will not shake until I have a problem).

I think they break because they are built to the limit of possible conditions.
When I saw my opening, I put my hands in my hair (just really).
It's a madness of pieces one attached to the other seamlessly.
all bound by plastic pieces of consistency practically nothing.
Plus add that many components are integrated on the motherboard... When you burn something, 90% of the cases change your motherboard.

at my hp nw 8440 after a year of life the feeding card... which is integrated on the motherboard.
change of the motherboard on-site ... the arrived piece was defective.
after 2 days they return with another motherboard and everything goes back to place.
But in the operation they slightly deformed me one of the chassis pieces.
Now that I have a bit of calm I have to call them back because they change it... and because one of the usb has gone ... but also the usb is integrated on the motherboard.
the budget therefore is that also these that, should be quality notebooks, break.
so the on-site guarantee at least is what avoids you time losses and therefore money, to go looking around the service centers.
hp and at least have decent assistance and give answers in reasonable time.

Moreover, the most fragile components are the capacitors and components such as voltage regulators, i.e. those "of the power phases", subject to higher voltages.

For this reason, it would have to be that the manufacturers concentrated a little more, for example, to provide transformers and quality batteries. and look at the more time passes, the more such companies always lim more the costs of production resulting in degradation, first of all, of the quality of the aforementioned components, since a cpu, intel or amd that it is, or anyway all the famous "integrated" (the black boxes for understanding) are those.. and it is unlikely to fail.

Another small note: keeping a portable workstation to render for hours and then subject it to operating temperatures close to the design limits is "gift on the feet".

So much in two max years is all to remake!
I used a miserable toshiba with built-in intel card and pulled me up files not to be cured.

Well, I certainly didn't go on textures, but the graphics, when working on the surfaces, are at the most.
the laptop was definitely slower than a ws and the parts counted more than 150 fatures.
memory also counted because it was shared with that graphics.

more than anything else I look at the video card is nvidia
I have seen some offers from trony, mediaworld and similar shops where you can find lap with 1gb nvidia at the price of 700-800€.
definitely brand ws offer a greater guarantee .... but it is worth spending about 1,000 extra.
I think it's better to have a well-corated "branded" fixed ws with assistance and a portable mule that if you steal it, it breaks or anything you're not crying for a month.

I had m90 for 2.5 years, lit 10 h agg all gg (and anke qualke Sunday...) fell (or better launched...) and didn't do anything, I never made an intervention in guarantee or out.
Now (from 3 months) I have a m6400 ke goes a bomb.
just for me (even if I know how quality they are lowering, to match everyone else.... )
Axioms with 5000 pieces turn dignifiedly, with 64-bit so. (now svista64, shortly seven64)

then take off the 8 giga, put 2+2, then buy them apart 2+2 always from dell and spend 60 euros! (nb has 4 slots ddr3)
and keep the fx2700, the 3700 costs too much difference.

I have seen notebook asus, and acer go discreetly well, and certain models are not even hot, even after hours of operation.

mmm, and then if you break it you have to ship (usually at your expense) to the assistance center of your city, if you like it and manage to repair it you spend a week, if they have to wait a piece even a month, or they send it to Milan and it is worse.

on this we agree, hypothesized.
I press, that I normally work on the fixed, which until 5 months ago, was a hp xw8000.
Now I have a t7400, so as you see, I have a machine powerful enough as fixed, and the nb only use it when I move, (about 1 or 2 times a week, and sometimes even).
here is why of my choice, so much reasoning, x me, it is useless to spend + of so much x nb, if I use it little.
in +, I will tell you, that if it breaks (although this can never be known) after, 1 year (or hope 2), if I spent those 800/1000 €, I can also change it, so am not sure the 4000 € that I spent x the nb of the.
