I saw the solidworks version 2012 in the presentation yesterday of bologna, and I have to say that it seems better, therefore I was thinking to update immediately from 2011 to 2012, but they told me for 2011 to wait for the sp 2.0, so as I saw that others use the 2012 version I was wondering if they could give me a hint if it is better to wait, or if I can pass to 2012 without problems.

in particular what of 2012 put you so fast?

I join the question of king, personally I have not noticed great innovations, have updated some things that should have been standard already in 2009

I suggest you wait.
there are bugs on non-insensitive toolboxes and compatibility issues with new equations.
not counting others in various positions.
up to the SP3 I would not risk doing as a tester and losing time between various calls and incavolatures.

Bye to all,
I also confirm the soliduser line:

for now (sp0) I have noticed a certain tendency to fall but I intend to follow the maturation of the release because the news interest me.

I use 2012 only as a test to validate new features ( falls fem).
at this moment I upgrade the 2012 version with the available service packs and verify the improvements.

good work,
dancer

ok if there are problems with the toolbox better wait thanks. :finger:

for if I noticed so many small improvements to speed up the whole system, they showed a test where to load the same together 2011 took 20 seconds, 2012 many less. then even my boss asked me if you could pass now to 2012 or it was better to wait. then when I have a little time I enjoy creating simulations of movements (and I presented this part very well). we were also thinking about starting using a pdm for file management, (I don't understand much of pdm but my boss would want a management of client files quite autonomous, because sometimes I happen to make some folder management error if I happen to work with 2 projects open together)
