nx 7.5 per linux ?

Boni boys, we stay in topic,

This is not the tread of who does what and how does it

I thank all for the answers, which is what I expected ("forgot nx")
but are we sure that the linux version has the same price order as that windows?
Hello, mariocad,
I officially confirm that it is not a matter of platform but bundle,
do not find the prices published on the internet for two reasons,
1) contrary to many medium/low-end cads that have 3 configurations of type "take or leave", for nx the prices vary (and much) depending on what you have to do and therefore of what modules you need (cad, cam, cae and all internal choices to the various sectors). I assure you that even for us that we work daily and that we know this world well sometimes it is difficult to disconnect between the price list as there are multiple choices and all with different costs. (and I am lucky to have to deal with nx and not with catia of which I saw the pricebook once and is even more fragmented)
2) because the internet is "story present" which means that in 3 years someone who on the internet will look for the basic prezo nx will find this post, will read the price and will take for granted that this is still valid, when in the meantime we will pay the oil 2 € per liter :frown:
However, the basic price I can give you and is 8770 € and the bundle is called mach designer node loked (repeto.....the price list and bundle configurations are subject to variations by siemens. It rarely happens....but sometimes it can happen) in this bundle you find : all solid modeling, all drafting (excluding drafting plus which is a different thing) all the assembly and basic freeform (and I assure you that we are talking about another world than the different band software mentioned above) and translators and a lot of other useful modules. I assure you that it is already a good solution.......if your needs are different it is necessary to have a chat to understand what fits for you.
I hope I've been clear

Hi.

p.s. if you sign up x milan on February 10 I will explain better and you will be able to evaluate with hand nx awards and flaws on linux

I apologize for my bad computer knowledge but I am willing to change pcs and I have no clear ideas. linux or mac?

thank you for the availability, good evening to all

installation specifications say that nx you can install it on suse or red hat ...both 64-bit. I think some good ubuntu hands don't make it hard to get around this simple control. regarding open office.... Thank you for the question.... we will check and check also for the 10th seminar and then we will let you know

yes, I had succeeded on ubuntu a couple of years ago, only I had to change the installation scripts.
the problem of openoffice is that (at least until 7) is not interfaced with nx, it takes office or xess to use spreadsheet functionality (part family etc.).

Maybe I ask too much, but I have a question...
for those who will not participate in the seminar of 10, it would be possible to post here, a report with the main characteristics pro and against one or the other s.o.?

It would be very interesting.
