nx i-deas

excuse the question that will certainly seem stupid to you, but since the world of cad has always fascinated me, sometimes I look for some videos about the various existing software. in particular I have seen that there is an i-deas nx and on the site I read that it should be sync technology, like solid edge. I've never used solid edge st, but I've just read some opinions, I have to admit that I'm not interested. is the question: is nx i-deas a different relear or is it a package itself?

I don't want to miss it but as long ago there was unigraphics then become nx (but we nostalgic call it still ug ) and ideas , they were packages of 2 different software houses as it was solid edge .
with the passing of the time ug has become nx and has absorbed solid edge however leaving it for sale as band lower than nx.
ideas instead it was incorporated in nx starting if not mistaken from nx3/nx4 and ceased to exist, those were owners of a license ideas if they were seen to replace it with a similar nx.

depending on the schools of thought they earned us or lost us.

If it's like solid edge or use the features or use sync, you should know!

ps: just to specify: i-deas was the cad of sdrc, purchased by ugs that today is of siemens. "nx i-deas" is the latest version to which they added tools for a "sweet" migration to nx. :mixed:
