nx... maintenance release e pack

Hello everyone
I need a little clarification about these two things.
the company for which I work is in "maintenance" (I don't remember the exact term) but every time a new nx comes out we receive the installation dvd.
on the ftp server I usually unload those that until today I thought were updates, i.e. maintenance releases.
wandering around the server I discovered the existence of maintenance packs: could you tell me what they are and what differ from maintenance releases?
I also noticed that there are a multitude, for example nx 5.0.6.3 (which should be the last available maintenance release) there are 10!
but if I install the 10 the previous ones are installed or do I have to install them all one by one?
Now I wonder about the releases: do I have to install one by one or just the last one?
Do you really need it?

maintenance packs are less "heavy" updates than releases.
just install the last mp (maintenance pack) of its mr, even of this just install the last.
is worth the speech that if you have no particular problems that a certain mr or mp usually resolve I avoid installing them "no matter what".

normally maintenance releases (mr), add or complete new features and the advice to install.
the maintenance pack (mp), solve bachi (bugs), and also these I recommend to install.

if then for the latest release, you mean the 8, I highly recommend it, higher than the 7.5 as a modeling feature.
if you need to install the 8, switch to 8.0.2.2 with the last mr.
