Hello everyone,
I rarely get into the mechanical section because I now use 90% inventor, so that despite it's sub, I've been using the mechanical now.
2008 with classic toolbars.
But now I decided it was time to age autocad, and together with the inventor, I also loaded autocad mechanical 2012 proposing to start working with ribbons.
and here are the difficulties of the change listed below (or perhaps it would be better to open + 3ad?). Anyway a couple of questions for those who want to answer me:
1) I don’t find the object snaps.I find how to set the power snaps, but
not the bar (or the group of the multifunction bar if it exists).
2) I can't set the dimscale variable or from the window
change odds, or by typing the command, or better I can set it as
I want to, but nothing changes.
They are probably trivial questions and my gaps are tied to the little use, though, I lost all Saturday and half Sunday to reconfigure, customize etc, but with these two things I do not come to the end.
thank you for those who want to answer me::smile:

Hello tarkus.

try to do this: for object snaps, click the dx button on the button in the bottom autocad bar "snap object f3" and choose "sets". there you can choose which snap to turn on or off.

for the "dimscale" variable, try to type it with the lower indent "_dimscale" if nothing happens, go to the "annota" menu and click with the mouse on the dart in the lower right corner of the bar itself.
you will see the "quota style management" dialog box within which you can set the "dimscale" variable.

try like this.

Bye.

Thank you for the Sunday answer, but:
object snap:
it is not about activating or deactivating them, but always looking at that bar that appears with the procedure you indicated.
I am used to working with two or three snaps set, but when I need a different snap I would like to have it at your mouse, without making too many clicks; p.es: I normally keep set end, middle and center, but if I have to make a line on the quad of a circle, I would like to have the bar with all the snaps always open. This is normal with the classic setting of the commands; I don't think with the ribbons is not possible.
As far as the dimscale is concerned, I have already done those actions that you describe, but as much as changes in value, it always creates the quotas with the same size. . .

then, go to the "windows" tab in the ribbons, click on the dart turned down, choose "autocad" and finally select "snap" between all the bars in the drop-down menu that will appear to you.

at this point you should have appeared the snap bar you can take and move wherever you want.

Try this way, it should go.

As for the "dimscale" command you find it in the ribbons under "annota" -> group "quote" -> click dart in the lower right corner of the board -> "management quota styles" -> "modification" -> "adatta" -> "uses general scale of:" and then enter the scale factor you want for the quotas (attention: changes only the size of the units not the scale factor of the units).

Bye.

1) I don’t find the object snaps.I find how to set the power snaps, but

quoto what is said by arzigogolo... Autocad menu and snap bar... even if for "flying" snaps, you would be enormously faster with ctrl+set dx... once you learn three/four shortcuts used more frequently, you don't even notice using this system.. .

2) I can't set the dimscale variable or from the window
change odds, or by typing the command, or better I can set it as
I want to, but nothing changes
the dimscale works in autocad style only with autocad quotas... if you use the power size, the quotation used will have the characteristics indicated in the set standards. in case of powerdim quoto still arzigolo. . . .

Okay, thanks to all:biggrin:
@giga : I imagine you will eventually become automatic with shortcuts, but the snaps bar makes me feel "at home"
