1) I gave my brother two weeks ago an intel xeon with 16 gb corsair vegevance+ ssd kingston 128 gb + hard disk caviar blue 1 tb + asus gtx 750 2 gb + 750 watt power supply of the rm series, case graphite 600 t , master plextor , and you know what does it tell me??? ? ?

But is it normal that when I make a render it takes a 20-minute?? ? Maybe it's the computer you gave me isn't good.

I think otherwise:
a) I do not understand why you are literally "slave" of your brother. If he says "the pc today has been running around" you go literally panicking and banging you so you don't get the flow anymore;

b) your brother (as everyone else) should start their activities with dated pcs, where to open 3 programs together it takes 1/4 hour. only so can you appreciate what you gave him. you handed a ferrari in the hands of an unscrupulous newcomer. often it is not the hardware to have problems. and the "mymromanutentive" status of sotware, drivers, and s.o.
Just tonight, with my fido q9550 and only 4gb of 1066 ram I had opened:
autocad with 5 drawings;
mirc in drain 2 files
torrent other 2 files
I listened to the webradio
I kept open outlook for mail
1 open winrar
in addition to all default amenities launched (antivirus, indexing, firewall etc etc etc)
in creating a pdf of a design (result a pdf from 6mb), the machine began to go into crisis, but without crashing.

My brother-in-law, with an i7 and 16gb of ram, on that same file has an acad crash just launches the pdf print.

What changes between me and him? the state in which I keep constantly checked the s.o. drivers and soft in general.
defragmentation, avoid unnecessarily updating device drivers, temp cleaning, dedicated drive for paging files
then there is the correct use of the hardware available: correct timing for memories (not exasperated), no overclocking of the cpu or sk video (on this I would have to say. I don't like nvidia a bit. all machines with nvidia cards I tried have always given problems with acad)
Then there's hardware maintenance. occasionally remove dust from the heat sinks? you tried to detach and hang up ram and/or sk. video (on pc off obvious). sometimes micro fake contacts that I miss images, with a simple towel you put revived the contact between the slopes...

Did you check xeon cooling? If you have dust and you have stock fan... when the pc is overloaded work if the cpu is not cooled goes into protection by decreasing the clock.
you should always buy the basic processor and then put us a worthy cooling. . .

I don't know if it's your case, but it happened to me years ago. not so much for dust, but for too much load and a broken fan that I did not notice.

since then on a performing machine investing 40-50 € only makes it well...
